What is the job role?
The job involves providing transportation for some of our most vulnerable people across Coventry. This can involve manually handling large wheelchairs and loading them on and off the minibuses. You will be dealing with a range of challenging behaviours potentially daily. Continuity is a vital part of the service we provide, and we endeavour to keep the same driver and passenger assistant on the vehicle. In summary, the role involves the following tasks:
These roles are 20 hours a week, working 4 hours a day, which includes a split shift of 2 hours in the morning and afternoon. These roles are term-time only. If you cannot adhere to these shifts, please do not apply.
All candidates must have the Right to Work in the UK. We are currently not offering sponsorship for this role.
This post is exempted under the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act and as such appointment to this post will be conditional upon the receipt of a satisfactory response to a check of police records via Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS).
