The New Business Manager role is an exciting opportunity for an experienced fundraiser to join Scope's Partnerships and Philanthropy team. You'll play a key role in helping us secure new corporate supporters, grow income and build partnerships that create lasting change for disabled people.

Permanent, Full time (35 hours a week)

Location: Here East Press Centre, 14 East Bay Lane, London, E15 2GW and working from home.

The role

Working as part of the Partnerships and Philanthropy team, you will manage the full new business cycle, from identifying and qualifying prospects through to developing compelling proposals and securing partnership agreements. You will build strong relationships with decision-makers, manage a pipeline of opportunities and help deliver income that supports Scope's strategic priorities.

You will:

  • Identify, secure and develop new corporate partnerships that generate sustainable income and support Scope’s mission.
  • Build and manage a strong pipeline of prospects, delivering against agreed income and activity targets.
  • Develop relationships with senior decision-makers and convert opportunities into long-term partnerships.
  • Create compelling partnership proposals, pitches and presentations that demonstrate shared value.
  • Lead partnership opportunities from initial engagement through to negotiation and agreement.
  • Monitor pipeline performance, forecasting and reporting, identifying risks and opportunities to maximise income growth.
  • Work collaboratively across Scope to develop fundraising propositions aligned to organisational priorities.
  • Represent Scope externally, building networks that strengthen our profile and generate new opportunities.

About you

We are looking for someone who is passionate about building partnerships and generating income. You'll be a confident communicator who enjoys opening doors, developing relationships and creating opportunities that support Scope's work.

You will bring experience in corporate fundraising, business development or a similar income-generating role. You will be proactive, target-driven and comfortable managing multiple opportunities at different stages of the fundraising cycle.

You will be someone who:

  • Has experience securing new business and developing corporate partnerships.
  • Can create compelling proposals, pitches and presentations.
  • Builds strong relationships with corporate partners and key stakeholders.
  • Has experience managing projects and working with multiple stakeholders.
  • Can manage a pipeline of opportunities and deliver against income targets.
  • Is confident using CRM systems and reporting on performance.

It would be great if you also bring:

  • Understanding of the social model of disability.
  • A professional fundraising or marketing qualification.
  • Knowledge of fundraising and marketing compliance and regulations.
