We are looking for a reliable and organised cook or experienced kitchen assistant to take responsibility for our kitchen area in a busy, friendly café environment. This role is ideal for someone with basic kitchen or café experience who enjoys food preparation, organisation, and teamwork. Full training will be provided. About the role: Our café kitchen does not have full cooking facilities. Food preparation is simple and café-focused, including: -Preparing sausage rolls, bacon and sausages -Making salads, sandwich fillings, scones and simple desserts -Preparing paninis and toasties to order during service -Washing dishes and keeping the kitchen clean and organised -Assisting the front-of-house team during busy periods -Ordering stock and keeping track of kitchen supplies Responsibilities: - Being in charge of the kitchen area day-to-day - Maintaining HACCP and food safety standards - Ensuring cleanliness, organisation and smooth workflow - Simple food prep and light cooking - Supporting café service when required What were looking for - Basic kitchen or café experience - Good understanding of food hygiene (HACCP knowledge important) - Organised, reliable and able to work independently Willingness to learn full training provided Positive attitude and team spirit What we offer Friendly, supportive working environment Full training provided Opportunity to grow the role (especially in baking/desserts) Stable hours in a café setting Work Location: In person
