Field Supervisor: Domiciliary Care Services

Location: Croydon & The London Borough of Barking & Dagenham Company: Star Care UK Ltd Salary: GBP26,000 to GBP28,000 dependent on experience

Star Care UK Ltd is seeking dedicated and confident Field Care Supervisors to join our expanding Domiciliary Care teams in Croydon and The London Borough of Barking & Dagenham This is an excellent opportunity for experienced Care Workers looking to take the next step into leadership, or existing Supervisors who are passionate about improving service quality and supporting frontline care staff.

In this vital community-based role, you will act as the essential link between Care Workers and the office-based Coordinators. You will champion high standards of care, provide hands-on support to staff and ensure that every service user receives safe, person-centred, strength-based care that promotes independence and wellbeing.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day supervision, mentoring and guidance to Care Workers in the field.
• Conduct spot checks, supervisions and competency assessments in line with company policy.
• Support new staff through induction, shadowing and skills development.
• Monitor the quality of care delivered and ensure compliance with CQC standards and internal policies.
• Carry out client reviews and risk assessments ensuring care plans are up-to-date, accurate and person-centred.
• Build and maintain positive relationships with service users and their families.
• Respond to concerns, complaints or changing needs and escalate appropriately.
• Act as the key communication link between Care Workers and Care Coordinators.
• Provide feedback on training needs, performance, staff availability and service issues.
• Ensure all digital and paper-based documentation is completed accurately and promptly.
• Promote best practice in safeguarding, health and safety and regulatory compliance.
• Support audits, quality assurance processes and continuous improvement initiatives.

• Proven hands-on experience as a Care Worker within the Domiciliary Care sector.
• Strong knowledge of person-centred care, safeguarding and care regulations.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to supervise, motivate and guide staff with fairness and professionalism.
• Strong organisational and problem-solving abilities.
• Good IT skills and confidence with digital reporting systems (Electronic Care Management Systems and associated field Apps / Excel).
