  • Lead, recruit, supervise, and develop a high-performing staff team through coaching, training, and performance management
  • Ensure care plans, risk assessments, and behaviour support plans are personalised, regularly reviewed, and outcome focused
  • Build strong partnerships with social workers, education providers, therapists, families, and other professionals
  • Monitor quality assurance, audits, and service performance to drive continuous improvement and achieve positive inspection outcomes
  • Manage staffing levels, rotas, admissions, transitions, and placement matching processes
  • Oversee budgets and resources effectively to ensure sustainable and efficient service delivery
  • Participate in the on-call rota and provide leadership support outside normal working hours when required

About You

  • Relevant qualification in Health & Social Care, Childcare, Leadership, or a related field
  • Minimum 5 years' experience within residential childcare services

  • Proven track record of managing services rated Good or Outstanding by Ofsted
  • Strong experience supporting children with SEMH needs, complex trauma, and emotional or behavioural challenges
  • Excellent knowledge of Children's Homes Regulations, Quality Standards, safeguarding legislation, and Ofsted frameworks
  • Strong understanding of trauma-informed care, therapeutic approaches, and restorative practice
  • Excellent leadership, communication, organisational, and decision-making skills
  • Ability to build positive relationships with young people, families, professionals, and stakeholders
