About the role

We are seeking an experienced SAP Consultant specializing in Security and compliance to support our SAP security function as we enhance the security governance of our finance platform and deliver sever critical projects adding new companies, users and functionality to the platform including:

Delivering a new role model to rationalise user permissions, align roles used by different subsidiaries in the group, support segregation of duties and to separate users between the different companies in our group.

Onboarding additional group subsidiaries onto the SAP platform who aren’t currently users.

Merging two separate SAP instances into a single common instance.

Onboarding SAP to SailPoint for improved management of identity and access management

Automating key processes such as user access requests and provisioning, joiners’ movers’ leavers processes, privileged access management, control over generic or service accounts

This is a time of rapid change and delivery which requires competent security oversight and stakeholder engagement to build and maintain confidence on our shared SAP platform. Outside of change there is key business as usual activity to coordinate ensuring that internal controls are correctly deployed and monitored in the SAP environment with reporting established to provide assurance. The role will also need to monitor remediation activity needed to close audit actions and address identified control deficiencies in a timely and transparent manner to reassure our stakeholders in the robustness of the platform.

In this critical role, you can draw on the assistance of our wider SAP product team, a dedicated SAP security consultant and our 3rd party support teams. Support is also available in accessing management information and creating dashboards for your own support or for stakeholders.

You will need to coordinate engagement sessions and establish routine communications and updates with key stakeholders in our subsidiaries, group finance, internal controls and audit. You will also need to participate in programme governance for key projects and programmes impacting the SAP platform or supporting capabilities (e.g. SailPoint).

Responsibilities:

Be the customer facing lead for operating companies in our group who depend on our SAP platforms. Understand their governance, compliance, security and requirements and demonstrate proactive management of issues to resolution to build trust and confidence in the platform.

Take a lead on strategic remediation and enhancement projects for SAP Finance and procurement systems. For example, harmonisation of roles and accesses across OpCos in a new role model, deploying identity governance through SailPoint.

Provide security and governance expert input to key change programmes impacting our SAP platforms e.g. a new operating company in the group being onboarded to the platform or the merge of separate SAP instances into one.

Provide regular reporting and engagement with stakeholders in operating companies and corporate centre on progress with key projects, work to close audit actions ahead of deadlines, remediation and improvement work.

Work with our data team to establish the real time dashboards you and stakeholders will need to demonstrate strong governance over business-as-usual issues from joiners, movers, leavers processes, controls over firefighter and generic accounts, managing privileged access, detecting segregation of duties issues.

Support the SAP product team with clear SAP security policies, standards and guidance for them to follow. Work with our security awareness and training partner to deliver timely training, updates and reminders to product owners, support teams, privileged users and others with key roles in the overall robustness of the platform.

Security Assessments, investigations and Compliance: you will conduct:

Investigations of identified security, control or compliance issues to find root causes and remediate them to prevent reoccurrence.

Proactive security and compliance assessments of the platform to identify control improvements to make, monitoring or reporting blind spots to cover or other issues to fix.

Supporting pre-audit assessments to ensure teams are audit-ready

Skills, Qualifications & Experience:

Credible customer facing consultant able to communicate with business and finance teams in non-technical terms to convey relevance of issues and potential business risk.

Personable stakeholder manager who uses customer focus to understand the needs and concerns of different business areas.

Proven experience with SAP with a specialization in GRC, security &/or audit.

Strong understanding of SAP security concepts, including roles, profiles, authorizations, and Segregation of Duties (SoD) and how these can be automated and monitored in a scale able way.

Experience in the oversight of Compliance, governance and security assurance within SAP environments.

Confident in supporting and responding to audit in SAP environments.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.

Effective communication skills, capable of working collaboratively across teams and departments.
