Our client is a large manufacturing site based in Glossop.
Due to growth, we are currently recruiting for an industrial sewing machinist to work in the sewing department. Experience in operating sewing machines is not compulsory, as full training is provided, but manufacturing and machine operating experience would be beneficial.
The role:
- Working as part of a team
- Operating overlocker machines
- Rotating between 3 different styles of covers
- Quality checking
- High repetition work requiring a consistent high quality output
- Handling heavy duty materials
- Basic machine maintenance - cleaning, changing needles and threads
Hours of work/pay rate:
- 7.30am-3.30pm
- Monday to Friday
- Additional overtime is available from 6am
- £12.47 per hour
