Associate Civil Engineer

A leading employee-owned engineering consultancy are in the market for an Associate Civil Engineer for their London office. They have an excellent array of projects lined up within the defence, sports, leisure and aviation markets. Role and Responsibilities

• Lead and manage multidisciplinary civil infrastructure design (highway and drainage).
• Oversee design quality, technical assurance, budgets and programme delivery.
• Support bids, proposals and business development.
• Mentor staff and support team growth.
• Work with high autonomy and act as a key client‑facing representative.

Requirements

Essential

• Chartered (ICE/CIHT or similar).
• MEng/BEng qualified or equivalent.
• Experience in early optioneering and all design stages.
• Significant experience in expertise in highway and drainage infrastructure design
• Proven leadership of civil infrastructure schemes through the full lifecycle.
• Strong project management skills
• Solid understanding of CDM and H&S legislation.
• Ability to review and approve design work; familiarity with key design standards.
• Excellent communication and client‑facing skills.
• Experience of working with both internal and external parties(e.g., utility companies, drainage authorities, highway authorities).
• Skilled with Civils 3D, InfoDrainage/MicroDrainage

Notes

A Senior Associate Civil Engineer position is available for those already at an Associate Engineer grade. This would come with a larger salary range between £75,000 - £85,000.

Security clearance will be needed to carry out this role. You will not already need to hold it, just be eligible to attain it. Due to this, candidates who require sponsorship, will not be able to be considered.
