About the role

Exciting opportunity for another new recruit to start their insurance career! 

As an NFU Mutual Customer Service & Sales Advisor youll be the backbone of the team in our Yeovil Agency where youll deliver the best possible customer service to new and existing customers. This is a truly varied role where youll have the opportunity to focus on your own continuous development.

As part of our thriving and vibrant team, youll handle a wide range of customer queries within the agency with a view to delivering maximum profitable growth.  Your day-to-day tasks will include reviewing and amending policies, managing correspondence, processing renewals as well as providing quotations - all whilst building long-lasting customer relationships. Well provide everything you need to develop your knowledge and skills to ensure you provide the best possible service to our customers when discussing NFU Mutual products and services professionally and compliantly. 

Always delivering a consistently good experience to customers, youll meet the requirements and standards of NFU Mutual, the Training and Competence Scheme and our regulators.

This role is subject to the requirements of the Insurance Distribution Directive.  Role holders will be required to evidence ongoing relevant continuous professional development, along with re-screening to evidence that Good Repute standards are maintained. Whether youre discussing policy renewals, addressing general inquiries, or exploring new sales opportunities, you are dedicated to providing excellent service. You also thrive working independently, taking initiative while contributing to the teams overall success. To join our team, you will also have:

  • Proven ability to identify sales opportunities and effectively sell our products through exceptional service.
  • Experienced in dealing with complex customer service matters, preferably within a similar environment (ideally within a telephone-based role) 
  • Ability to demonstrate excellent attention to detail skill and accuracy skills 
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to effectively engage and convey information over the telephone.
  • Strong computer literacy skills 
  • As a large percentage of our customers are farmers, any interest or knowledge of farming or agriculture would be beneficial but isnt essential.
