Delivery Van Driver

OverviewWe are seeking a reliable and motivated Van Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently while ensuring excellent customer service. This role requires a strong commitment to safety and the ability to communicate effectively with team members and clients. Responsibilities

• Safely operate a van for the transportation of goods to various locations.
• Load and unload items, ensuring proper handling and securing of cargo.
• Conduct routine vehicle inspections and maintenance checks to ensure safety compliance.
• Communicate effectively with warehouse staff and customers regarding delivery schedules and any changes.
• Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including mileage, fuel usage, and delivery confirmations.
• Assist with heavy lifting as required during loading and unloading processes.
• Adhere to all traffic laws and company policies while driving.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Van Driver or in a similar role is preferred.
• Valid commercial driving licence with a clean driving record.
• Ability to perform heavy lifting (up to 30 kg) safely and efficiently.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Familiarity with warehouse operations is an advantage.
• Excellent time management skills with the ability to work independently.
• A proactive attitude towards safety and compliance.
