French Teacher (with TLR) Location: Tower Hamlets An exciting opportunity has arisen for an inspirational and fluent French Teacher to join a vibrant school in Tower Hamlets, taking on a Teaching and Learning Responsibility (TLR). The successful candidate will play a key role in curriculum enrichment, pedagogical innovation, or student achievement initiatives within the Modern Foreign Languages (MFL) department. The Role The French Teacher (with TLR) will: * Deliver dynamic and immersive French lessons across Key Stages 3-5. * Lead a specific area of the MFL curriculum (e.g., Key Stage 5 French, or develop new resources for GCSE French). * Contribute to the departmental strategy for raising linguistic attainment and cultural appreciation. * Mentor and support other MFL teachers in developing their pedagogical approaches. * Organise and lead extracurricular activities such as French conversation clubs or cultural trips. The Ideal Candidate We are seeking a qualified French Teacher (QTS/QTLS or equivalent) who: * Possesses native or near-native fluency in French and a deep understanding of francophone cultures. * Demonstrates outstanding classroom practice and a proven track record of student progress. * Has prior experience in curriculum development, assessment coordination, or mentoring. * Is highly collaborative, innovative, and committed to fostering global citizens.
