Internal Comms Manager - innovative FTSE 250 professional services business. Focus on the justice sector

My client, an innovative FTSE 250 professional services company, is looking to for a talented Internal Comms Manager.

The role is based near York, with parking available on site. There is potential to work a day a week from home, but the majority of your time will be based on site.

The companys offering spans a remarkable breadth of sector activity, including building safer communities, industry leading investment in people and skills, decarbonisation & net zero, technology and AI, and plenty more. As such, anyone in its comms division gets to work against the backdrop of a fast-moving news agenda and political landscape that offers the company challenges and opportunities alike.

That said, for this role the team is seeking some relatively specialist experience, given your remit will be taking ownership of internal comms for a major new, and progressive, initiative in the justice sector. Its a project that simultaneously opens the door to fascinating engagement opportunities on a human interest level, whilst requiring a temperament to handle some hard-hitting, sensitive issues.

Consequently, the team would love to meet people who have previous internal comms experience in the justice sector, or alternatively in a large scale public sector environment. People who possess a natural resilience, and associated comms experience, that is well suited to handling tricky issues.

Beyond this the attribute this team always looks for in new hires is a positive attitude. This is an opportunity to use comms in order to make a genuine difference to people working on front line, touching on fascinating societal values.
