Janitor

Are you interested in working for a charity that makes a real difference to the lives of vulnerable adults?

We are looking for a pro-active and committed Janitor to join our team at Chichester Road Care Home in North London. In this role you will be responsible for;

• General maintenance and repair, cleaning, stock taking, gardening.
• Ensuring safe working practices; performing regular Health and Safety and compliance checks of the building.
• Recording and reporting on completed work within the buildings and ensuring that the maintenance of the buildings are compliant.

About you

You will have a genuine interest and commitment to the aims of St Mungos and our client group. You will also have:

• Experience and proven ability in basic maintenance skills and the ability to manage a physically demanding workload.
• An understanding of Health and Safety issues and procedures.
• Understanding of the issues faced by homeless or vulnerably housed people.
• The ability to cope with clients who may display challenging behaviour.
• Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
