Senior Project Manager (London Area)

We are looking for a project and production management superstar who is creative, resourceful and organised, to join the growing team here at Etch. TheSenior Project Managerposition is a pivotal new role as we grow the business and increase the amount of complex production jobs coming through the studio, so direct experience of project managing retail and VM projects is key. The day to day of this role will be managing the entire project life cycle from initial brief through to installation and derig.

This would include: coordinating internal teams (design and engineering), liaising with clients and retailers, briefing and booking out-sourced production/freelancers, project logistics and arranging installations, derigs and site visits. Keeping our project management system (Scoro) up to date and managing project finances (in collaboration with our finance manager) will also be a key part of the role to ensure commercial success of your projects and the wider team. Projects in the studio can range in scope from a ‘design only project through to global roll outs of VM props, a bespoke window scheme or an experiential activation space (and everything in between) so theres plenty of exciting work to get stuck into!

Ideal Experience5+ years of experience in project management within retail design, visual merchandising or associated creative industries (agency or brand side)n

Experience in the luxury or premium retail industry with an understanding of all touch points from window displays to pop-up shops, brand activations and POS. Specific knowledge of beauty and skincare brands would be a major plusn

Experience working with major department stores and retailers in the UK and abroadn

People management experiencen

Manufacturing and supplier base knowledge

Project & Production Management:Partnering with the HODs to ensure key projects run successfully from start to finishn

Liaising effectively with clients and suppliers on the full project pathway from brief to installation, managing all key gatewaysn

Interpreting briefs in collaboration with designersn

Briefing external production partners and installers, booking freelancers and managing the freelance databasen

Liaising with retailers to book installations and provide relevant documentation (Both domestic and Travel Retail)n

Attending key project installations / derigs to oversee worksn

Arranging samples and visiting suppliers when necessaryn

Coordinating spreadsheets and orders from clients for global roll outsn

Managing logistics for specific projectsn

Creating and managing CPAs and timelines to share internally and with clientsn

Collaborating with the design and engineering teams to plan projects and capacityn

Using project management software to track time, plan capacity and ensure accurate invoicingn

Understanding of cost workings and ability to create client quotes

Client & Commercial Management:Acting as a vital link between clients and the Etch studio, attending and arranging project meetings to input from a production and PM perspectiven

Providing an industry-leading level of service to our client base ensuring projects are delivered successfullyn

Guarding overall project budget to meet profitability targets, raising concerns with the MDnManaging invoicing and finances at project close in collaboration with finance managern

Exploring new business opportunities with clients

Skills:Strong understanding of materials, manufacturing processes and production life cyclen

Health & safety legislation knowledgen

Accreditation or qualifications in H&S or project management would be beneficialn

Analytical skillsn

Logistics experiencen

Communication skills (internally and with clients)n

Hands on installation experience and ability to manage on-site teamsn
