We are looking for a caring and dedicated Support Worker to join our team in Elizabeth House, Enham Trust and provide high-quality, person-centred support to our residents. This is a rewarding role where you will build meaningful relationships, encourage confidence, and help people achieve their goals, both big and small.
Working closely with our residents, colleagues, and wider professional teams, you will help create a safe, supportive, and inclusive environment where everyone is treated with dignity, respect, and kindness.
About the role
As a Support Worker, you will support residents with their everyday lives, helping them develop independence, make choices, and take part in activities that are important to them.
Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:
- Providing personalised support with personal care, wellbeing, and daily living activities while promoting dignity, privacy, and independence.
- Building positive and trusting relationships with residents, understanding their individual needs, preferences, and aspirations.
- Supporting residents to develop life skills, including cooking, shopping, meal planning, budgeting, and household tasks.
- Encouraging residents to access community activities, education, leisure opportunities, and social experiences.
- Acting as a Key Worker for allocated residents, supporting them to work towards their personal goals and independence.
- Supporting residents with mobility needs and physical disabilities, including the safe use of equipment and care aids where required.
- Working with families, colleagues, health professionals, and external agencies to ensure residents receive consistent and effective support.
- Following individual support plans, risk assessments, and positive behaviour support strategies to promote wellbeing and safety.
- Keeping accurate records and sharing important updates to ensure continuity of care.
- Supporting with general housekeeping and creating a welcoming home environment.
Working Patterns
Our shifts operate between7:00am and 9:30pm, Monday to Sunday, across five days of the week. Shifts are structured as follows:
- Morning shift:7:00am 2:30pm
- Afternoon shift:2:00pm 9:30pm

You will need:
- Good communication skills
- Basic literacy and numeracy skills
- To be compassionate and patient
- Ideally some experience in a caring industry, for example hospitality or schools
- To pass our DBS check or be on the DBS update service
