This Deputy Manager role covers three supported living services in and around the Exeter area, supporting people with complex disabilities including multiple sensory impairments and learning disabilities to live active, independent lives. Two services are based in Exeter city centre and one in Rockbeare near Exeter Airport, offering people we support access to both city and rural settings and a wide range of community experiences. Administration days are based at our office in Otter St Mary. This is a full-time, permanent role working 37.5 hours per week, split equally between direct support on shift and office-based administration, at 29,367 per annum (15.06 per hour).

What you'll be doing

  • Supporting the Registered Care Manager in the day-to-day running of three supported living services
  • Supervising, mentoring and leading a team of support workers across the services
  • Managing rotas and maintaining compliance and service standards
  • Providing direct, hands-on support to individuals with complex disabilities, including personal care
  • Developing and maintaining person-centred plans and supporting individuals to achieve their goals
  • Carrying out administration and IT-based duties on office days

Who we're looking for

  • Proven experience of supervising or leading a team in a care or support setting
  • Substantial experience of providing personal care and support to individuals with complex needs
  • Sound knowledge of person-centred planning, rota management and staff development
  • IT literacy and confidence with administration tasks
  • A positive, person-centred approach and genuine commitment to empowering the people we support
  • A basic level of BSL is desirable for this role
