Finance & Operations Manager | Belfast | £50-55K

Artemis Human Capital is proud to be working in partnership with a highly regarded professional services firm in Belfast as they look to appoint a Finance & Operations Manager to join their senior team.

This is a key appointment for the business, offering the opportunity to step into a broad and influential role with real visibility across the organisation. Working closely with the firms senior leadership team, the successful candidate will take ownership of core finance and operational processes, deliver meaningful business insights, and help drive improvements in performance, efficiency, and overall effectiveness across multiple offices.

The Opportunity

The Finance & Operations Manager will play a central role in supporting the day-to-day running of the business while also contributing to longer-term planning and continuous improvement initiatives. This will include responsibility for financial reporting, operational performance, KPI analysis, and identifying opportunities to streamline processes and enhance efficiencies across the firm.

Key duties will include:

  • Leading the preparation of management accounts, budgeting, forecasting, and cashflow reporting, ensuring accurate and timely financial information for senior stakeholders.
  • Producing and analysing KPI reports across the firms various offices, using data to highlight trends, monitor performance, and support decision-making.
  • Partnering closely with the senior leadership team to provide commercial insight, operational reporting, and recommendations to improve business performance.
  • Reviewing existing processes and workflows to identify opportunities for greater efficiency, improved resource planning, and stronger operational delivery.
  • Supporting the implementation of business improvement initiatives, helping to drive consistency and best practice across the wider organisation.
  • Taking ownership of core operational and business support functions, ensuring the firm is well-positioned to support continued growth.
  • Overseeing governance, compliance, and internal controls, ensuring robust and effective business processes are maintained.
  • Supporting people-related activities where required, including onboarding, performance support, and wider operational coordination.

The Person

The ideal candidate will be a commercially minded and highly organised professional who enjoys operating in a varied role with exposure to both finance and wider business operations.

You will ideally have:

  • Previous experience in a finance, operations, or business support leadership role.
  • Strong commercial acumen and the ability to turn financial and operational data into practical, value-add insight.
  • Experience producing management information, reporting packs, and KPI analysis for senior stakeholders.
  • A track record of improving processes, enhancing efficiencies, and supporting operational change.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the confidence to work closely with senior leadership.
  • A proactive, solutions-focused approach and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • A finance qualification would be advantageous, though it is not essential.
