Would you like to help bring the latest approaches into the classroom and serve your profession through education? \n Lecturer in Engineering (2 full-time posts available) £24,350 - £32,563 per annum, depending on qualifications and experience Plus £6,000 per annum Shortage Skills’ Allowance 37 hours per week \n Lancaster and Morecambe College are a thriving FE College and justifiably proud of the strong links with our local community. Located between Lancaster and Morecambe, we are proud to be our community’s provider of technical, professional and creative education. \n We have a vacancy in the Engineering section of our Construction & Engineering team working in our state of-the-art Construction Centre at Lancaster & Morecambe College and welcome applications from both experienced teachers/lecturers in Engineering, and industry professionals wishing to transition into teaching. \n Lancaster & Morecambe College is working in partnership with the Education and Training Foundation to deliver ‘Taking Teaching Further’. This additional funding provides a unique opportunity for industry professionals to transition to a dual professional teaching role at the College. The funding will support your comprehensive on-the-job training programme, including initial teacher training qualification; individual support and mentoring; and a reduced teaching workload in the first year. \n The role, and associated funding, is open to external candidates who have worked for a minimum of 3 years and within the last 18 months, in the engineering trade or industry and who do not yet hold a substantive teaching qualification.
