Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer (Electrical Bias)

Location: CB Paper Sacks Bangor, 15 Balloo Drive, BT19 7QY
Salary: £40,000 £44,000 DOE

We are currently seeking a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer to join our team at a busy and well-established paper sack manufacturing facility. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced engineer to play a key role in maintaining and improving plant reliability, supporting production, and contributing to ongoing projects. Electrical experience would be advantageous, but is not essential - we welcome applications from qualified Engineers with a broad range of maintenance backgrounds.

Key Responsibilities

As part of the maintenance team, your main duties will include:

  • Carrying out planned and preventative maintenance across site machinery and equipment
  • Responding quickly and effectively to breakdowns and equipment failures
  • Diagnosing faults and completing repairs to minimise downtime
  • Supporting both in-house and external engineering projects
  • Liaising with and supervising external contractors when required
  • Ensuring all work is completed in line with health & safety and site standards

Required Criteria

  • To be considered for this role, you must have:
  • Minimum 3 years' experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment
  • Strong electrical maintenance background with multi-skilled capability
  • Experience working with PLCs (fault finding and diagnostics)
  • Knowledge of VSD/VFD systems
  • Understanding of control and automation systems
  • A recognised technical qualification in a relevant engineering discipline
