We are seeking a dedicated and highly skilled Quality Controller to join our team in Chertsey. As a Quality Controller, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our products and services. You will be responsible for developing and implementing quality control procedures, conducting inspections, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and a passion for delivering exceptional quality.
What you’ll do
Conduct inspections and audits to assess product quality and identify non-conformities, defects, or deviations from specifications.
Support the development of (PS1) quality control procedures, methodologies, and standards to ensure compliance with customer requirements and industry standards and regulations.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, Production, and procurement, to resolve quality-related issues and implement corrective and preventive actions.
Perform root cause analysis and develop effective solutions to address quality concerns and improve overall product quality.
Establish and maintain quality documentation, including inspection reports, test plans, and quality records, ensuring accurate and up-to-date records are maintained.
Conduct physical inspection of electronic and mechanical assemblies. Identify noon-conformities, defects or deviations from specifications.
Support customer inquiries and complaints related to quality, investigating issues and providing timely and effective resolutions.
Train and mentor employees on quality control procedures and best practices.
Stay updated with industry trends, advancements, and regulations related to quality control and incorporate them into the company's quality management system. columns.
What you’ll need
Proven experience working as a Quality Controller or in a similar role.
Strong knowledge of quality control methodologies, UK and MOD standards, and regulations.
Experience with quality tools and techniques such as root cause analysis, and failure mode and effects analysis (FMEA).
Familiarity with ISO 9001 quality management systems.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen eye for detail.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams and the ability to communicate quality-related information effectively at all levels of the business.
Ability to prioritise and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Strong organisational skills and the ability to maintain accurate and detailed records.
IT literate and proficient with MS Office.
