The role and what you'll be getting up to on a day to day basis:
As a Senior Incident Response Analyst at Littlefish, you'll be operating and building out our dedicated incident response function, working closely with our Cyber Security Operations Centre(CSOC). In this pivotal role, you'll take the lead in identifying, containing, and mitigating cyber threats-helping to safeguard our clients' digital environments.
You'll have the opportunity to shape and enhance our incident response processes, contribute to continuous improvement, and play a key part in developing our team's capabilities. Every day will bring new challenges and the chance to make a real impact on the security and resilience of our clients.
You will:
Lead and coordinate incident response activities, identifying, containing, and mitigating cyber threats for our clients.
Develop, implement, and continuously improve incident response processes, procedures, plans, and playbooks.
Conduct investigations, analyse root causes, and recommend corrective actions following security incidents.
Carry out client-based assessments to prepare for potential security incidents.
Deliver post-incident reviews and drive continuous improvement.
Keep the Cyber division and clients informed of emerging threats and trends through threat intelligence reporting.
Support the creation and training of the incident response team, ensuring readiness for any security challenge.
Contribute to achieving industry certifications such as Crest Incident Response and NCSC Cyber Incident Response.
Who you are:
Demonstrable experience in incident response.
Proven ability to conduct investigations, analyse root causes, and recommend corrective actions.
Experience developing and maintaining incident response plans and playbooks.
Hands-on experience with tools such as SIEM, EDR, threat intelligence platforms, and forensic investigation tools.
Strong knowledge of incident response frameworks (eg, NIST, SANS).
Deep understanding of current cybersecurity threats and trends.
Experience running DFIR (Digital Forensics and Incident Response) engagements.
Highly organised, adaptable, and effective at managing competing demands.
Experience in a Managed Services Provider environment or heavily regulated industries.
Advanced digital forensics knowledge and malware analysis skills.
