Our client is seeking an experienced Electrical Contracts Manager to join their growing team on a 13-week temp-to-perm basis. Based at their head office in Sittingbourne, you will oversee projects across Kent and London, managing electrical refurbishment works within the commercial and industrial sectors.

With an annual turnover of approximately 2 million, our client has built a strong reputation for delivering high-quality refurbishment projects and is looking for an individual who can confidently manage contracts from tender through to completion.

The Role

As Electrical Contracts Manager, you will be responsible for managing multiple electrical refurbishment projects simultaneously, ensuring they are delivered safely, on time, within budget and to the highest standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Managing commercial and industrial electrical refurbishment projects across Kent and London.
  • Pricing projects, preparing quotations and assisting with tender submissions.
  • Planning and coordinating labour, subcontractors, materials and plant.
  • Managing project programmes and ensuring deadlines are achieved.
  • Conducting regular site visits to monitor progress, quality and health & safety compliance.
  • Liaising with clients, consultants, suppliers and the internal management team.
  • Managing project costs, variations and budgets to maximise profitability.
  • Attending client meetings and providing regular project updates.
  • Ensuring all works comply with current electrical regulations and industry standards.
  • Supporting project handovers, commissioning and final account completion.

The Ideal Candidate

The successful candidate will have:

  • Previous experience as an Electrical Contracts Manager within the commercial or industrial sector.
  • A strong electrical background with experience managing refurbishment projects.
  • Experience pricing electrical works and overseeing project budgets.
  • Excellent commercial awareness and contract management skills.
  • Strong organisational and communication abilities.
  • The ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • A proactive, hands-on approach with excellent problem-solving skills.
  • A full UK driving licence.

Desirable Qualifications

  • NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation or equivalent.
  • 18th Edition Wiring Regulations.
  • SMSTS or SSSTS.
  • ECS Card.
