As a Civil Engineer Apprentice, within the Surfacing Solutions business you’ll be involved in all aspects from operational, commercial and administration. You will undertake theoretical and practical training to develop the knowledge, skills and experience required to ensure you have a thorough understanding of all areas. If you’re one to tiptoe around puddles with trepidation, maybe this role isn’t for you. You won’t be spending every day in a clean, corporate office swivelling on an office chair! Time will be spent working within all operational departments. Do you offer? * A minimum of National 5 level qualifications which must include a minimum of grade C in Maths and English. It would be an advantage to have higher level qualifications in a related topic. * A full UK Driving Licence – during your apprenticeship with us, we want you to experience and see everything we have to offer so you will need to be flexible to travel to other sites. * A genuine interest in the construction materials industry – we’d love to hear about why you chose us and what interests you about this role! * The enthusiasm for working both indoors and outdoors. * Flexibility in being required to be able to work away from home from time to time, including possible overnight stays. * Flexibility with your working hours which may involve working evenings and weekends. * You will need to be a minimum age of 18 (by July 2026). There will be required to attend block release at UHI Inverness, which will require you to be residential, for which Breedon will cover the costs of any accommodation, travel and meals.
