Join us at OneTwo.

We’re a friendly bunch with a no-fuss, can-do attitude. We care deeply about our clients and our team, and we’re proud of our reputation for being approachable, dependable and easy to work with.

We’re hiring: AV Streaming Technician

This is an exciting opportunity for a highly technical AV professional with strong experience in streaming, networking and IT, alongside solid knowledge across wider live event production.

You’ll play a key role in our technical production team, supporting virtual, hybrid and in-room events for public, private and third-sector clients.

About you

You’re a confident and capable technician who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys solving problems before they arise. You bring a stronger focus on streaming, networking and IT than a standard AV technician, while remaining comfortable across multiple AV disciplines.

You’ll ideally have:

  • At least 2 years’ experience in the live events or broadcasting industry
  • Strong technical knowledge across audio, video, lighting, livestreaming and networking
  • Experience with live or virtual event streaming platforms such as vMix, Livestream Studio and OBS
  • A good understanding of video delivery protocols including RTMP, WebRTC and UDP/TCP
  • Strong IT and networking skills, particularly for NDI video and IP-based workflows
  • Experience integrating Zoom and Teams into broadcast or streaming environments
  • Knowledge of video playback systems, graphics switchers, scaling and live video workflows
  • Some experience with audio consoles such as Midas and Allen & Heath, plus Dante audio networking
  • Some experience with lighting consoles, fixture setup, rigging and DMX
  • CAD experience producing scale floor plans
  • Great communication skills, attention to detail and a proactive mindset
  • Flexibility to travel and stay overnight when required
  • A full, clean UK driving licence is preferred

Experience with camera operation and editing in DaVinci Resolve or Final Cut Pro would be an advantage.

Key responsibilities

  • Prepare, test, maintain and service a wide range of AV, streaming, networking, lighting and rigging equipment
  • Support the setup and operation of streaming encoders, decoders, conferencing platforms and network infrastructure
  • Manage livestream, webcast and remote contribution workflows
  • Set up, operate and de-rig equipment for live, virtual and hybrid events
  • Troubleshoot technical issues on-site and maintain resilient systems with backup options
  • Help plan IP-based video, streaming and conferencing workflows
  • Produce scale floor plans using CAD software
  • Liaise with suppliers and manage cross-hire bookings
  • Compile AV quotes and support clients with technical requirements
  • Prep and de-prep equipment in the warehouse
  • Load, unload and deliver equipment safely to venues
  • Stay up to date with new technologies and contribute to future-proofing our services
  • Take part in training and support sustainable technical operations

Working hours

Standard hours are 09:00–17:00, Monday to Friday. Due to the nature of the role, some early starts, late finishes and pre-scheduled weekend work will be required, along with travel and overnight stays across the UK.

Training and progression

We support professional development and offer a personalised progression plan. As you grow, there will be opportunities to progress into roles such as Senior Technician and Production Manager, with both internal and external training available.

Interview process

  • Initial interview via Zoom or Teams
  • Practical assessment to demonstrate your technical and streaming skills in a hands-on environment
  • Multiple-choice technical assessment covering AV, networking and streaming technologies and practices
  • Face-to-face interview to discuss your experience and how you could contribute to the team

Our commitment

We’re passionate about sustainability and accessibility. We believe events should create positive impact, both environmentally and socially, and we’re committed to working with our team and supply chain to make that happen.

What we offer

  • The chance to work on exciting, high-profile projects
  • A friendly, creative and supportive working environment
  • Competitive salary
  • Contributory pension scheme
  • 25 days’ holiday, plus your birthday off
  • Life insurance
  • Profit-related bonus scheme (non-contractual)

  • Social events and flexible working arrangements

If this sounds like you, we’d love to hear from you.
