A large services-based organisation in Leeds is seeking a driven and analytically minded FP&A Analyst to support financial planning, performance reporting, and commercial insight across the business. This role is ideal for a part‑qualified or newly qualified accountant looking to step into a more strategic, forward‑looking finance position with strong exposure to senior stakeholders,

\nKey Responsibilities

\nPlanning, Budgeting & Forecasting
\n\n
\n\n
\n\n
\n\n
Support the annual budget, quarterly reforecasting, and long‑term planning cycles
\n\tConsolidate financial inputs from multiple departments, ensuring accuracy and consistency
\n\tAssist with scenario modelling and sensitivity analysis to support decision‑making
\n\tChallenge assumptions and highlight risks, opportunities, and trends
\n\t\n
\nPerformance Reporting & Insight
\n\n
\n\n
\n\n
\n\n
Prepare monthly management reporting packs, including P&L, cashflow, KPIs, and variance analysis
\n\tInvestigate performance drivers and provide clear, concise commentary
\n\tTrack operational and commercial KPIs, identifying areas for improvement
\n\tSupport the month‑end process with analysis and insight rather than transactional work
\n\t\n
\nBusiness Partnering
\n\n
\n\n
\n\n
\n\n
Work closely with operational and commercial teams to provide financial support and challenge
\n\tTranslate financial data into meaningful insight for non‑finance stakeholders
\n\tSupport business cases, investment appraisals, and cost‑benefit analysis
\n\tBuild strong relationships across the organisation to improve financial understanding
\n\t\n
\nProcess & Systems Improvement
\n\n
\n\n
\n\n
\n\n
Enhance reporting tools, dashboards, and data quality
\n\tSupport automation and standardisation of FP&A processes
\n\tContribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the finance function
\n\tAssist with system upgrades or BI tool development (e., Power BI)
\n\t\n
\nAd‑Hoc Analysis

\n\n
\n\n
Provide analytical support for strategic projects, pricing reviews, and operational initiatives
\n\tPrepare presentations and insight for senior leadership and board‑level reporting
\n\t\n

\nSkills & Experience

\n\n
Strong analytical skills with experience in budgeting, forecasting, or management reporting
\n\tAdvanced Excel skills; experience with BI tools (Power BI, Tableau) is advantageous
\n\tExperience in a large, multi‑site or services‑based organisation is beneficial
\n\tComfortable working with large data sets and producing clear, insightful analysis
\n\t\n
