Current licence to practise and active membership with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) and the Royal College of Speech and Language Therapists (RCSLT). A current full driving licence valid for use in the UK and access to a car on appointment Candidates will be subject to enhanced vetting / compliance checks including an Enhanced Access NI check due to the nature of this work, this may include a Barred List check for both Children & Vulnerable Adults (depending on the role) Knowledge of the Northern Ireland curriculum and an understanding of how communication difficulties impact a pupil's ability to access it. Responsibilities Manage the assessment, diagnosis, and clinical prioritisation of children with a broad range of needs, including ASD, complex disorders, and Developmental Language Disorder. Promote a strong inter-agency approach by working closely with education professionals, parents, and carers. Maintain responsibility for the administrative side of service delivery, including succinct clinical record-keeping and the maintenance of clinical spreadsheets. Plan, deliver, and evaluate training for parents, teachers, and classroom assistants to ensure communication-supportive environments that maximise learning opportunities. Participate in clinical audits, peer reviews, and Personal and Public Involvement (PPI) initiatives to assist in the evaluation and development of the service. Adhere to Trust policies, RCSLT professional standards, and Information Governance procedures at all times.
