Building Safety Manager - Nottingham, NG9 1LAAbout the RoleAs a Building Safety Manager, you will play a vital role in ensuring our buildings are safe, compliant, and well-managed. You will lead on delivering building safety across high-risk residential buildings, ensuring we meet all requirements of the Building Safety Act 2022 while fostering a culture that prioritises resident safety and trust.This role is an opportunity to make a real differenceprotecting residents, driving improvements, and shaping how building safety is delivered across MTVH. What Youll Be DoingPut residents at the centre of building safety by ensuring their homes are safe and their voices are heardLead on resident engagement, providing clear, transparent communication on safety mattersRespond proactively to safety concerns, ensuring residents feel supported and reassuredDrive continuous improvement in building safety practices and complianceTake ownership of complex safety challenges and deliver innovative, practical solutionsLead on developing and maintaining Building Safety Cases and the Golden ThreadWork closely with internal teams, contractors, and external partners to deliver a coordinated approach to safetyBuild strong relationships with the Building Safety Regulator and other stakeholdersInfluence and support colleagues to embed a positive safety culture across the organisation Key ResponsibilitiesAct as the Building Safety Manager for designated high-risk buildingsEnsure compliance with fire, structural, and building safety legislationDevelop and maintain Safety Case ReportsOversee risk assessments, inspections, and remedial worksManage safety data systems and the Golden Thread of informationMonitor contractor performance and ensure quality deliveryInvestigate incidents and implement learning outcomesProvide clear reporting to senior leaders and governance groups About YouYou are a committed and knowledgeable professional who lives our values:Care: Passionate about resident safety and delivering high-quality servicesDare: Confident in making decisions, solving problems, and driving improvementsCollaborate: Skilled in building relationships and working across teamsOwn: Take accountability for resident focused solutionsYou will also have:Proven experience in a Building Safety, Fire Safety, or Compliance roleStrong knowledge of the Building Safety Act 2022Experience working with high-risk residential buildingsUnderstanding of fire and structural safety principlesExcellent communication and stakeholder engagement skillsA relevant qualification (e.g. Fire Safety, Building Safety, Building Surveying, Engineering)Professional membership (IOSH, IFE, RICS, CIOB) desirable
