We are looking for a dedicated and compassionate CYP Domestic Abuse Caseworker, working 37.5 hours per week across South and Central Lancashire, to provide specialist support to children and young people affected by domestic abuse. About the role The CYP Domestic Abuse Caseworker provides specialist, trauma-informed support to children and young people affected by domestic abuse. Key Responsibilities: Completing risk and needs assessments to address the specific needs of the child or young person in line with VS operating procedures. Delivering one-to-one or group interventions (mostly face to face) that promote emotional wellbeing, resilience, and recovery. Working closely with families, schools, social care, and partner agencies to ensures that each young person's voice is heard and their needs are prioritised. Proactively promoting the service, raising awareness of services & working collaboratively with professionals to improve the access to and quality of services for children & young people. Following relevant safeguarding policies and procedures, working with safeguarding leads and other agencies to ensure an integrated approach to address any safeguarding concerns. About you We are looking for someone who is compassionate, motivated, and genuinely committed to supporting children and young people affected by domestic abuse. You will be organised and proactive, with the ability to remain calm, professional, and grounded when managing challenging or sensitive situations. Above all, you will be passionate about helping young people feel safe, heard, and empowered. You will need: Strong communication skills and confidence engaging with children and young people. Empathy and emotional resilience, with the ability to maintain professional boundaries. Ability to build trusting relationships with children, young people, and families. Good safeguarding and risk-assessment skills. Experience supporting children and young people in a youth work, education, social care, or similar setting. Understanding of the impact of domestic abuse on children and young people. This role involves regular travel across Lancashire, a driving license and access to a vehicle is considered an essential requirement.
