Due to continued company growth, we are looking to recruit an experienced Service Engineer to join an industry leading client in the field of high-precision metrology solutions. This is a full time permanent role offering a fantastic chance to progress your career in a reputable and innovative business. We are ideally looking for candidates based around South West Birmingham to be based in a mobile role with travel to customer sites, where you'll deliver hands-on technical support across a wide range of measurement and inspection systems.
Candidates must be time served in a relevant engineering discipline with experience in fault finding on mechanical or electrical systems. Experience working with CMM equipment is a must for this role also. Standard hours - Mon Fri, 8.30AM 5PMKey Duties of the Field Service Engineer:Travel to client locations to expertly install precision metrology instruments and integrated systems
Carry out routine maintenance, calibration, and servicing to maintain performance and reliability
Troubleshoot and resolve faults, identifying and fixing mechanical, electrical, or software issues effectively
Maintain detailed service reports and records to ensure clear documentation of all technical work
What We're Looking For:Solid experience diagnosing and repairing mechanical and/or electrical faultsHNC, BTEC, or similar qualification in an engineering field or equivalent hands-on experience
Familiarity with Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMMs) is a strong advantage
Highly organized with excellent accuracy and attention to detail
Full and valid UK driving licence is essential
