Job Title: Lawyer (12-Month assignment) Programme: Source to Pay (S2P) / COUPA Implementation Location: West Sussex £600 day rate via umbrella company The Role: We are currently supporting a major transformation programme and are looking to appoint a Lawyer to provide dedicated legal support during the implementation of a new Source to Pay (S2P) system (COUPA). This is a key role focused on standardising, simplifying, and integrating legal and procurement documentation into a system-led environment, ensuring processes are compliant, efficient, and scalable. You will work closely with Procurement, Legal, and Programme stakeholders to ensure legal frameworks are aligned to system workflows ahead of go-live. Key Responsibilities: Contract Templates & Clause Library Develop a structured and standardised clause library within COUPA Review and rationalise existing contractual clauses Ensure all clauses are clearly categorised and system-ready Contract Template Development: Build and configure a suite of standard contract templates Align templates with current legal and procurement standards Ensure templates are optimised for use within automated workflows Procurement Documentation: Configure standard procurement documentation, including: RFQ / RFP / ITT documents Call-offs and direct awards Standard legal communications (e. NDAs, novations, termination and extension letters) Support the move to system-led procurement processes, reducing manual input Commercial Rules & Guidance: Develop a Commercial "Rules Book" outlining: Use of standard clauses and templates Approval thresholds and escalation points Key legal and commercial guardrails Produce clear guidance materials to support consistent use Programme Support: Act as a key legal point of contact for the S2P programme Support system design, testing, and implementation activities Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure timely delivery of outputs Support knowledge transfer ahead of go-live About You: Strong background in commercial contracts and procurement law Experience creating and managing contract templates and clause libraries Ability to translate legal requirements into practical, system-based solutions Experience supporting transformation programmes or working with ERP/S2P systems is desirable What You'll Deliver: A fully configured clause library within COUPA A suite of standardised, system-ready contract templates Procurement documentation aligned to automated workflows A clear Commercial Rules Book and supporting guidance Sellick Partnership is proud to be an inclusive and accessible recruitment business and we support applications from candidates of all backgrounds and circumstances.
