We are looking for a dynamic, hard-working and enthusiastic Communications Co-ordinator.
This is a key role within the NIHR Health Protection Research Unit (HPRU) in Respiratory Infections; a flagship partnership between Imperial College London and the UK Health Security Agency (UKHSA) conducting state of the art scientific research to support public health services.
What you would be doing
You will assist in day-to-day initiation, management and execution of HPRU-related project activities, key duties include, leading the HPRUs Patient and Public Involvement, Engagement and Participation (PPIEP) activities; leading on all events organisation and delivering a coherent and effective communications strategy for the HPRU to deliver its core functions, including facilitating communication between the HPRU and key stakeholders, maintaining information flow.
What we are looking for
- An undergraduate degree in a relevant field (media communications, scientific discipline), or appropriate work experience.
- Experience in developing strong working relationships with a wide variety of stakeholders, including the public.
- Experience of leading large events organisation.
- Ability to utilise a wide variety of effective project management techniques.
- Excellent time management skills; proven ability to work under pressure and meet
- Excellent organisational and interpersonal skills, interacting productively with people at all levels.
- Facilitating Patient and Public Involvement, Engagement and Participation (PPIEP) activities, and its evaluation is desirable.

This is a full time role (35h/w) and a fixed term (3 years) based at Hammersmith Campus. Hybrid working pattern available, minimum of 3 days/week in the office
