Customer Support EngineerBased near Peterborough | International Travel RequiredFull-Time | Permanent Are you an experienced Customer Support Engineer with strong electrical and mechanical fault-finding skills, looking for a role with global reach and real technical depth? We're proud to be working with a world-class manufacturer of specialist test equipment as they look to grow their expert Customer Support team.

This is an exciting and varied role that combines hands-on problem solving, customer engagement, and international travel - supporting high-performance systems trusted across the power, OEM, and engineering sectors. What you'll be doing: Working as part of a collaborative, solutions-driven support team, you will: Deliver technical support for electro-mechanical test equipment via phone, email, remote access, or site visits Commission, maintain, and train users on equipment at customer sites around the globe Diagnose faults and carry out repairs down to component level Respond promptly to warranty claims, ensuring smooth resolution and high customer satisfaction Maintain accurate service call records in SAP B1, from first contact to case close Prepare RAMS documentation and follow safe working practices in all environments Generate reports, service analysis, and commissioning documents Collaborate with Sales, Production and Design teams to share insights and suggest improvements Contribute to service quotations, customer communications, and trend analysis What we're looking for: ONC or equivalent in Electrical Engineering (apprenticeship preferred) 5+ years in a hands-on technical support/service engineering role Proven experience working on industrial control systems Confident reading schematics, using diagnostic tools, and handling repairs independently Excellent written and verbal communication, including documentation and reporting Proficiency in MS Office and working knowledge of SAP (or similar ERP/CRM) Valid UK driving licence and passport - you'll travel globally at short notice, typically for up to a week at a time Why this role?
