Our goal is to create a warm, inviting space where guests can enjoy exceptional food, outstanding service, and a truly memorable experience. *Summary* We are seeking a talented and motivated *Sous Chef* to join our kitchen team at Santos + Co. Working closely with the Head Chef, you will play a key role in supporting day-to-day kitchen operations, maintaining high food quality standards, and leading the team by example. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled chef looking to grow within a creative and passionate kitchen environment. *Responsibilities** Support the Head Chef in overseeing daily kitchen operations and service.
* Assist in menu development, preparation, and execution using seasonal, high-quality ingredients.
* Ensure food safety, hygiene, and cleanliness standards are consistently met.
* Supervise, train, and motivate junior kitchen staff.
* Step into a leadership role during service and in the absence of the Head Chef.
* Assist with stock control, ordering, and minimising waste.
* Work collaboratively with management to enhance the overall dining experience. *Requirements** Proven experience as a Sous Chef or strong experience as a Senior Chef de Partie ready to step up.
* Solid knowledge of food safety regulations and kitchen best practices.
* Strong culinary skills with attention to detail and consistency.
* Leadership qualities with the ability to support and guide a kitchen team.
* Good communication skills and a positive, team-focused attitude.
