Our financial services client are looking for an experienced Data Protection Manager to join a small and dynamic legal team within a successful financial services organisation.
Responsibilities:
Drive the design and continual improvement of the data protection strategy and programme.
Provide expert advice on data protection topics including DPIAs, data breach management, and third-party risk.
Maintain records of processing activities and ensure compliance with EMEA data protection legislation.
Deliver engaging training and awareness programmes across the business.
Support audits, monitoring, and reporting on data protection maturity and KPIs.
Experience:
Experience of devising and implementing data protection strategies and operating models
Strong knowledge of UK/EU and Middle East data protection laws and regulatory requirements.
Recognised data protection qualification (e.g., BCS, CIPP/E, CIPM).
Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively across teams.
Experience with tools like OneTrust and familiarity with FinTech environments is a plus.
Location: London (Hybrid - 3 days in office)
