Finance Manager | Local Business | Stamford | up to £35kAre you a driven, detail-oriented finance professional ready to take ownership of a dynamic finance function? Our client, a well-established local company based in Stamford, is seeking an experienced Finance Manager to lead and develop their finance team, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and insightful financial reporting.Location: StamfordHours: 38 hours per week
Type: Full-time, Permanent or Part time hours would be considered

About the RoleAs Finance Manager, youll play a critical role in supporting the leadership team with timely financial insights and robust accounting practices. Youll manage everything from daily transactions to strategic financial planning, and be a key driver of continuous improvement across the finance function.Key ResponsibilitiesOversee all finance processes ensuring compliance with accounting standards
Manage purchase/sales invoices, expenses, credit card entries, and daily banking
Prepare and present month-end reports including accruals, payroll, VAT returns, and cashflow forecasts
Provide insightful variance analysis and board-level reporting packs
Collaborate with external accountants for year-end processes
Lead on insurance, healthcare, and pension renewals
Train and manage the finance team
Attend board and leadership meetings
Drive ongoing improvements in systems and processes
What We're Looking ForA reliable and adaptable finance professional with excellent organisational skills
Strong experience with Microsoft Excel and WordExperience with Xero (desirable)Comfortable working independently in a fast-paced, change-driven environment
Strong communication skills and a can-do attitude
Able to meet deadlines and prioritise effectivelyKPIs Include:Timely production of management accounts
