Robert Half are pleased to be partnering exclusively with an organisation based in Petersfield who operate in the commodities industry to recruit a Head of Finance. The Head of Finance will receive a salary of up to £90,000 (potentially negotiable) plus a package of attractive benefits. Experience in the commodities industry is essential for this role.
Reporting directly to the owner of this SME, you will be engaged in global trade of recycled non-ferrous metals, with group companies in Europe and Far East. Primary responsibilities
Managing financial control and risk to include banking covenants.Reviewing marked to market valuations which are generated daily by the risk manager.Cash flow management - including currency liquidity management.Monitoring the business' financial plans.Maintaining compliance.Report to the director on trading performance through analysis of month end positions
Oversee finance team in respect of:Producing management accounts (consolidated / company).Submitting monthly VAT returns.Submit monthly / quarterly management accounts to stakeholders as appropriate.Liaise with UK auditors.Liaise with advisors in Greece, China and Hong Kong in respect of overseas entities and local obligations.Liaise with payroll team.Corporation tax payments as required.Key experience and attributes
Experience in the commodities industry including price risk management and hedging
Ideally qualified accountant ACA/ACCA/CIMA OR Qualified by ExperienceF/X hedging and forecasting experience
Strong excel skills
