Are you an experienced service technician looking to join a fast-paced, fresh, high-tech engineering team? Our client is a forward-thinking, fast-paced engineering company manufacturing some of the most technologically advanced agricultural/industrial machinery in Northern Ireland with worldwide distribution and are currently recruiting for a Lead Service Technician to join their team. Graduates welcome to apply. Role: Lead Service Technician Location: Downpatrick, Co. Down Duration: Temp - perm Rate of Pay: £16 - £18 per hour Hours of work: Monday - Friday (41.25 hpw) Main duties and responsibilities: Pre-delivery inspection of new machinery before customer delivery Service and maintenance of machinery (in factory and customer sites) Diagnose and repair electrical, hydraulic and mechanical faults Build strong relationships with customers, ensuing an excellent service experience A high focus on continuous improvement initiatives Report factory defects and assist with solutions Ability to adapt and learn new tools/ techniques as needed and a willingness to embrace change Essential requirements Minimum 3 years' experience in mechanical engineering work Strong understanding of mechanical and hydraulic systems Ability to read technical manuals and diagrams effectively Skilled at providing excellent customer service, on-site and over the phone. Ability to work independently and under pressure as well as part of a team Full UK driving licence or equivalent Desirable Requirements Basic vehicle electronic knowledge CANBUS knowledge Knowledge of LEAN production practices A work vehicle will be provided.
