This is a genuinely influential leadership role. Our Major Accounts represent a significant proportion of our Motor portfolio, and we’re looking for a senior commercial leader who is ready to take full ownership. You will help shape strategy, drive performance, and make empowered decisions that directly impact growth, profitability and risk quality.

You’ll lead a team of five National Account Leads, working with some of the most strategically important partners in the UK motor market. From OEMs and brokers to car supermarkets and national dealer groups, you’ll operate at a senior level - renegotiating, analysing performance, spotting trends and strengthening long‑term partnerships.

This is not a maintenance role. It’s about setting direction, raising standards and driving outcomes.

What will your day look like?

  • End‑to‑end ownership of Major Accounts, delivering strong commercial performance, disciplined risk management and sustainable growth
  • Leading, coaching and developing a team of National Account Leads, setting clear expectations and driving high performance
  • Building and evolving strategic account plans, including renegotiation of commercial terms and joint business planning
  • Analysing account performance and market data, identifying trends, risks and opportunities to inform decision‑making
  • Operating as a senior external representative, strengthening relationships with OEMs, brokers, car supermarkets and national partners
  • Embedding strong first‑line risk management, governance and compliance across all national account activity
  • Collaborating cross‑functionally with Pricing, Risk, Operations and Product to deliver joined‑up solutions for key partners

What do we expect from you?

  • Proven experience operating at a senior level within motor finance or automotive financial services
  • Dedicated sales leader who is focussed on coaching high-performing sales teams and delivering exceptional business outcomes
  • Strong market knowledge across OEMs, brokers, distributors and car supermarkets
  • A track record of leading national or key account teams and driving commercial performance through others
  • Confidence in negotiation, commercial analysis and performance management
  • Deep understanding of risk, governance and regulatory expectations within a field‑based sales environment
  • Comfortable making autonomous, commercially‑balanced decisions and owning outcomes
  • Willingness to travel UK‑wide monthly to stay close to teams and partners
