This is an exciting opportunity for a Mechanical Engineer to join a specialist engineering team working on advanced, high-performance systems used in demanding real-world environments.

You’ll be involved across the full product lifecycle - from early design and development through to prototyping, testing, and continuous improvement of complex mechanical assemblies that sit at the heart of cutting-edge technology.

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Playing a key role in mechanical design and development activities within a structured engineering environment
• Supporting the evolution and enhancement of existing products to meet evolving technical and operational requirements
• Producing detailed engineering drawings, CAD models, and technical documentation that directly support project delivery
• Contributing to the estimation of effort, cost, and timescales for design and development work
• Getting hands-on with prototype build, assembly, and testing activities for new and evolving systems
• Supporting the implementation of engineering changes and improvements across live projects
• Working closely with wider engineering, production, and project teams to ensure smooth delivery
• Occasionally travelling within the UK to support testing, build, or project activities where required

What We’re Looking For:

• Ability to read, interpret, and work confidently from technical drawings and engineering documentation
• Strong IT capability, particularly across Microsoft Office tools and engineering databases
• Ability to produce clear, accurate, and well-structured technical documentation
• A logical and analytical approach to problem solving, with strong attention to detail
• Confident communicator who can work effectively across engineering and non-engineering teams
• Self-driven, organised, and comfortable managing your own workload
• Able to stay calm and effective when working to tight deadlines or changing priorities
• Practical, adaptable mindset with a willingness to get involved in hands-on engineering work
• Degree (or equivalent) in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related discipline
