Vehicle Builder Engineer - (Assistant Service Engineer Level 2)

We have a greatopportunity to join our engineer team in our Selhurst Depot

This role also offer all shifts (Early, Late & Nights)

You will beresponsible for ..

Carrying out andcoordinating routine maintenance & repairs in line with the grade and current maintenance plan requirements as directed by their Production Leader.

• Vehicle preparation:
• Fabrication & Assembly:
• Assembly:
• Quality control:
• Comply with safety systems and procedures at all times.
• Update maintenance records within company systems.
• Carry out non-maintenance related activities (e.g. Crane, Forklift etc.) as directed by your Production Leader and where competent to do so.
• Carry out all other duties where trained and competent to do so.

What we want from you.

• Must be able to achieve ASE2 vehicle builder competency
• A minimum of two and half years of relevant engineering experience inclusive of training;
• Reasonable understanding of mechanical and electrical engineering principles including interpreting technical drawings and plans.
• Be able to meet the requirements of a job specific medical
• Able to meet the competency requirements for safety and task specific training.
• Familiar with (or able, with training, to become familiar with rolling stock maintained or repaired by GTR.
• Be willing learn new skills appropriate to the role.
• Proficiency in carpentry, joinery and metalwork.
• Positive and professional attitude with good working relationships.
