If you are interested in working as a Paralegal for a market leader in a clinical field, then read on as we seeking a talented Paralegal to join our in-house legal department, within our prestigious city centre office on St Vincent Street. The role: The role of Paralegal will include the following duties and responsibilities: Document management – collating and checking documents, with preparation of files; Assisting with day to day tasks for the in-house Solicitors; Dealing with any ad hoc duties that may arise; Drafting letters and reports to the client; Research tasks and analysis of documents to provide information to the in-house Solicitors; Ensure files are kept up to date, accurate and in accordance with company procedure; Assisting with drafting of Court documents; Assisting with the preparation of Witness Statements/Precognitions; and Assisting with updates to third parties. Focus on dispute resolution Essential Skills: Flexible and willing to work within a busy team environment; Be able to work accurately, with good attention to detail; Good communication skills; Confident in working independently, but also work well within a team; Highly organised; IT literate, with a working knowledge of Microsoft Office and Excel; Experience of Scottish Court proceedings essential; Experience of English Court proceedings desirable; Experience of medical malpractice/personal injury/litigation desirable; Preferably have a minimum of a degree in Law (LLB or equivalent) or a Paralegal qualification.
