Partnerships Manager AI

Salary: £45,100 £60,400
Location: Cambridge / Hybrid (% office-based)
Contract: Fixed-term (12 months) / Secondment
Hours: 35 hours per week (full-time)

The Partnerships Manager will help identify, shape, and progress collaborations with AI organisations, technology companies, and research institutions, turning strategic ambition into practical partnerships.

About the Role

Working within an Education Futures / International Education team, you will operate across multiple internal stakeholders to understand priorities, identify where external partners can add value, and progress partnership conversations into actionable outcomes.

This is a fast-paced, hands-on role focused on coordination, stakeholder management, and delivery. A key part of the role is maintaining momentum across multiple partnership discussions, ensuring alignment between internal teams and external organisations.

You will map the AI and EdTech landscape, build and manage a pipeline of potential partners, and support the progression of priority opportunities into structured collaborations, pilots, and longer-term partnerships.

Key Responsibilities
  • Map the AI and EdTech landscape to identify relevant organisations and partnership opportunities
  • Build and maintain a pipeline of AI partnership prospects
  • Coordinate internal stakeholders to progress partnership discussions and next steps
  • Manage relationships across internal teams and external partners
  • Track engagement activity, maintain records, and report progress clearly
  • Support the development of partnership proposals, pilots, and collaboration frameworks
  • Ensure partnership activity is structured, documented, and progressing efficiently
  • Contribute to improved ways of working, coordination, and knowledge sharing across teams

Essential Skills & Experience
  • Experience in AI, EdTech, or technology-driven environments
  • Strong stakeholder management and relationship-building skills
  • Experience coordinating partnerships, projects, or cross-functional initiatives
  • Excellent organisational and administrative capabilities
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously
  • Strong communication skills with attention to detail
  • Ability to identify opportunities and drive them forward
  • Commercial awareness and ability to assess partnership value
Desirable
  • Experience in partnership or alliance management
  • International work experience or additional language skills
  • Knowledge of education markets, products, or the wider education sector
