VANRATH are delighted to be working in partnership with a leading specialist accountancy firm to recruit a Payroll Administrator.
The Role
Looking for a payroll role where you can become part of a supportive, close-knit team?
This is an excellent opportunity to join a highly respected accountancy practice with a strong reputation for delivering an exceptional payroll service to a loyal client base. Working alongside an experienced Payroll Manager, you'll be responsible for managing client payrolls while providing a professional and efficient service.
Whether you're already working within practice or a payroll bureau, this is a fantastic opportunity to join a stable firm that genuinely values its people.
* Process payroll for a varied portfolio of clients, ensuring all payrolls are completed accurately and on time.
* Prepare and submit statutory payroll returns in line with HMRC deadlines.
* Support the Payroll Manager with the day-to-day running of the payroll bureau.
* Prepare payroll reports and respond to client queries.
* Maintain accurate payroll records and ensure compliance with current legislation.
* Build strong relationships with clients through excellent customer service.
* Ensure all work is completed with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
* Competitive salary.
* 36.5-hour working week.
* Early finish every Friday at 14:00.
* 22 days annual leave plus 11 statutory holidays.

* Long-term career stability within an experienced payroll team.
* Minimum 1-2 years' payroll experience gained within accountancy practice or a payroll bureau.
* Experience processing multiple payrolls.
* Experience of HSC payroll would be advantageous but is not essential.
* Working knowledge of payroll software.
* Good Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word skills.
* Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail.
* Professional communication skills and a customer-focused approach.
