About the role

The Imperial Policy Forum is seeking a Policy & Programmes Officer who will play a pivotal role in the design and delivery of a programme of work raising the profile of Imperial's world-leading research and innovation - in particular the adoption and implementation of new technologies and innovations - and connecting this to live public policy challenges across health and other policy areas.

What you would be doing

The role will work closely with academic and professional services staff within Imperial's School of Convergence Science, the Faculty of Medicine and Imperial's broader AI and technology community to maximise the policy impact and influence of its research. You will achieve this through proactively developing and delivering a programme that engages with and influences key senior policymakers in government and Parliament.

The postholder will play an important role in developing and delivering training and development opportunities to Imperial academics, staff and students looking to engage with policymakers, and as such, experience operating in policy environments is essential for this role.

You will also support the design of the Imperial Policy Forum's courses for policymakers and respond to requests for capacity building from key stakeholders working in technology policy and regulation, whether in health or other areas.

In addition to this, we are looking for a clear and concise communicator, who is inspired by working towards real-world policy impact.

If you are someone that takes the initiative, enjoys working autonomously and is comfortable engaging with both researchers and policymakers than please do apply.

  • Benefit from a sector-leading salary and remuneration package (including 41 days' annual leave and generous pension schemes).
  • Access to a range of workplace benefits including a flexible working policy from day one, generous family leave packages, on-site leisure facilities and cycle-to-work scheme.
