Job Title: Primary SEND Teaching Assistant
Area: Blyth
Start Date: April 2026
Contract Type: Full-time, Term-time only
Salary: £500- £600 per week
Working hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am – 3:30pm

About the Role as a Teaching Assistant:
Support pupils in the classroom, working 1:1 or with small groupsHelp deliver engaging lessons under the guidance of the class teacherAssist pupils with additional needs, promoting confidence, communication, and positive behaviourProvide encouragement and motivation – in class, during activities, or on the playgroundAct as a reliable adult role model, supporting pupil’s social and emotional developmentWhat We’re Looking For:
Experience supporting or mentoring children or young people (school, youth work, sports coaching, volunteering or similar)Patient, approachable, and able to build positive relationships with pupilsGood literacy and numeracy skills (GCSE Maths & English or equivalent)Calm under pressure with a positive outlook and sense of humourCommitted to inclusion and helping every child succeedTo be eligible you must:
Hold Right to Work in the UKHold (or be willing to apply for) an Enhanced Child Barred List DBS registered with the Update ServiceProvide two professional child-related references
