RMS are excited to be recruiting for a reliable and detail-oriented Production Operative to support operations with our client based in Redcar.

This is an on-going temporary position with start dates throughtout March 2026. The working hours will be Monday to Friday on a 2-Shift Rotation of 7AM-3PM/3PM-11PM (base rate + shift allowance for late shift).

About the Role:
Within this role you will be achieving daily production targets by ensuring that production machinery, equipment and processes are operated in a safe and efficient manner, and in line with the Company Operating Procedures, and Health & Safety standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Undertake tasks in line with standard procedures to produce products (includes start of shift checks, operating machinery, using work benches, loading and unloading parts and materials).
• Ensure that Health & Safety policies and procedures are followed at all times.
• Carry out assembly work
• Be actively involved with Quality Inspection (defined quality checks).
• Packing and labelling produced parts as per the defined specifications.
• Complete various types of paperwork/documentation in line with each process (e.g. Confirming the good parts, rejected parts and parts that require reworking, the machining time and downtime and the reasons for any deviations).
• Identifying and reporting any machine downtime.
• Escalating technical problems in line with the defined escalation matrix
• Undertake 5S housekeeping duties to ensure that standards are in line with the EKOS guidelines.
• Assist with any other duties with the area, as and when required (e.g. cleaning plans)
• Be able to input data onto digital downtime spreadsheets (Excel)

About you:

• Previous experience working in a similar production environment.
• Be able to work on own initiative or part of a team
• Ability to use PC, with knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
