Role Description
To ensure the production and Quality records from the previous day are collected and audited to ensure they are fully accounted for and checked to ensure the CCP's have been completed to the required standard and in full.
To ensure the thermal processing records are reviewed and checked to ensure the products have been thermally processed correctly.
Collect and account for all the previous production day records this includes the printing of the processing charts from the cookers. This involves the understanding of the appropriate software system namely Bizware and Data Manger.
The auditing of the paperwork for each line area to ensure the sheets have been completed correctly and all CCP's are accounted for.
Report through any missing sheets or other faults found with the paperwork to the appropriate area and line managers.
The completion of the early release sheet for general use by the department
The monitoring of cooker bromine levels
The inspection of the thermal processing records seam sheets and other CCP's to ensure the product has been manufactured to the required food safety standards as detailed in the site HACCP system and to the procedures and policies of the site.
If this standard is not achieved to escalate to the line managers and if necessary isolate the affected stock.
To assist in the isolation and release of finished product using the various IT based systems at site and in the external warehouse.
To assist in the traceability requests from site or during customer visits audits
The safe issue and control of flash cards to the thermal processing function on site.
To complete the first stage of any early release requests.
To have the full responsibility and clear labelling archiving of the production quality and pack hall records for the required time period and the ability to retrieve these records in full when requested.
To cover in the absence of the person involved with the control of isolated stock.
Role Requirements
Must have a higher level of education with preferably with food manufacturing background or recognised qualification. Thermal processing experience and understanding would be preferred.
A knowledge of computer software systems and working knowledge of SAP.
This person needs to work with little supervision under pressure and to tight time scales.
To be able to work as part of the Technical Team and provide support to the factory and other functions when requested to do so.
