Vale of Evesham School are seeking to appoint a highly motivated and enthusiastic Residential Care Assistant with a real passion for, and commitment to, working with children with complex learning needs to join our committed residential staff team in supporting our pupils before and after school. The school caters for pupils who have moderate, severe and profound learning difficulties. The residential provision caters for weekly boarders, which ensures that we offer a 24-hour curriculum for up to 15 pupils in 3 suites.
Many of our pupils have other barriers to their learning including autism, challenging behaviour, physical disabilities and complex health needs. We are a member of Central Learning Partnership Trust who work collaboratively and share expertise to improve opportunities and life chances for all our young people. The post benefits from set shift patterns, with no weekend or bank holiday working required. Normal working hours are Monday to Thursday evenings, and Tuesday to Friday mornings, and some daytime working, on an agreed shift pattern.
It is a term time only position, so you would not be required to work during school holidays, however the salary is split into 12 equal monthly payments. Sleep-in duties may be required, these are paid separately in addition to the above salary. An example rota would be:Monday 3.00pm
