Chartered Rural Surveyor - Valuation & Agricultural Property

Location: Ashford, Kent

Contract Type: Permanent

Our client, a well-established multi-disciplinary surveying firm with an excellent reputation across the South East, is looking for a Chartered Rural Surveyor to play a key role in expanding their valuation offering while building strong, long-term client relationships across the rural and agricultural sector.

The Opportunity

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a dynamic and supportive team where you’ll take the lead on rural property valuations while providing expert advice across a diverse portfolio. You’ll gain exposure to a wide range of work, from farm and land transactions to environmental schemes, while collaborating closely with planning and development specialists.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver high-quality valuations of rural and agricultural property
  • Provide expert advice on compulsory purchase and compensation claims
  • Support clients with environmental schemes and grant applications
  • Build and nurture relationships with clients and industry professionals
  • Work collaboratively with planning and development consultancy teams
  • Assist with farm and land sales and acquisitions

About You

  • MRICS qualified (RICS Registered Valuer status advantageous)
  • Strong experience within rural property and agricultural matters
  • Excellent communication skills with a client-focused approach
  • Self-motivated, with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team
  • Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle
