Are you an experienced Sales Support or Customer Account professional looking for a role where you can combine customer contact, sales support and commercial administration?
We’re working with an established and growing technical product supply business in Burgess Hill who are looking for a Sales Support Executive to join their team. You’ll play a key role in supporting the Business Development Managers, keeping customer orders moving and helping turn opportunities into sales.
This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys being the organised link between customers, sales and internal teams and who has the technical curiosity to understand the products and solutions they’re supporting.
The Role:

• Supporting Business Development Managers with new and existing customer enquiries and quotations.
• Preparing and issuing quotations, following these up with customers and helping to convert opportunities into orders.
• Managing customer orders from placement through to delivery, keeping customers updated throughout the process.
• Acting as a key point of contact for B2B customer queries, building strong and professional relationships.
• Liaising with internal teams to ensure orders are processed accurately and delivered within agreed timescales.
• Supporting lead generation activity, including following up leads generated through exhibitions and other sales activity.
• Maintaining accurate and up-to-date CRM records, ensuring customer information and sales activity is captured correctly.
• Producing and analysing sales reports using Excel, identifying customer spending trends and potential opportunities for further business.
• Providing general administrative and commercial support to the wider Sales and Business Development team.

The Person
We’re looking for someone who already understands the pace and demands of a sales support, customer service or account management environment, ideally within a technical or product-led business. Experience will include:

• Previous experience in a Sales Support, Sales Administration, Customer Account or similar commercial role.
• Experience supporting B2B customers and building strong working relationships.
• Excellent attention to detail, particularly when working with quotations, orders and customer information.
• Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple enquiries and priorities at once.
• Good communication skills and the confidence to liaise with customers and internal teams.
• Good working knowledge of Excel and confidence producing and interpreting sales information.
• Experience using a CRM system and maintaining accurate customer records.
• A proactive approach, with the confidence to follow up opportunities rather than simply process incoming orders.
• A background within manufacturing, electronics, engineering or another technical environment would be highly desirable.
• Someone who enjoys understanding products and customer requirements and can develop strong knowledge of the technical offering.

The Package:

• £28,000–£32,000 salary DOE
• Monday–Thursday: 8:45am–5:15pm & 4pm Friday finish 
• Fully office-based with hybrid available after successful completion of probation.
